I BELIEVE I can be fined up to £15 for dropping a cigarette end.
Yet Boston Borough Council allow people at wedding receptions at the Municipal Buildings to throw confetti outside the main entrance. Also, as soon as people come out they light up.
Last week I counted at least 14 cigarette butts on the doorsteps to the building plus confetti an inch deep, about 40 metres from the building.
The council has put up no signs saying "this is a rubbish free zone, take your litter home."
The council says it will be employing someone to clear up after a wedding, so I suppose my £15 fine will pay his wages?
What are we, the poll tax payers paying these people for?
