BUSINESSES in Boston can learn everything they need to know about getting started with cloud computing at a free conference being organised by onlincolnshire.

The Boston Digital Conference will be held at Boston College between 9.30am and 1.30pm on Friday, July 12.

The free Boston Digital Conference on cloud computing has been organised by Lincolnshire County Council-run onlincolnshire.

Cloud computing allows people to use a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server, meaning your business can be truly mobile.

The conference will look at the effect on IT infrastructure and how cloud services speed up working day, save money, and help users take advantage of the latest innovations.

Guest speakers will talk about the use of cloud accounting software, cloud-based back-up and security software, and how cloud services can save businesses money.

The event has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

People can keep up to date with what's happening at the event by following the Twitter hashtag #bostoncloud.

Free tickets can be booked at www.bostoncloud.eventbrite. co.uk
