A BUNGLING thief was caught when tin foil she had wrapped stolen clothes in to try and fool shop security sensors ripped.

Diana Prickule had gone into a changing room at Peacocks in Boston's Pescod Square and put clothing worth £28 inside the foil before placing it in her handbag and heading to the exit.

But unbeknown to her the foil ripped and as she walked out of the store she set off an alarm and was detained by staff.

Homeless Prickule, 23, admitted a theft charge relating to the incident on February 14 when she went before Boston Magistrates.

Sentencing was remitted to Rotherham Magistrates Court to tie in with other offences to which Prickule had already pleaded guilty and she was remanded in custody.
