Festival raised valuable cash for charities

By Boston Target  |  Posted: December 18, 2013

ON behalf of Sleaford Methodist Church, I would like to thank everyone who supported our recent Christmas Tree Festival. We had a display of 80 trees throughout the premises, which had been provided by businesses, charities, organisations, schools, pre-schools and individual people. Everyone had a different theme, which after 12 years is wonderful. We were very pleased for Rev Martin Amery to be able to present a cheque for £955.36 to Barbara Jones of St Barnabas Hospice. This was 30 per cent of the total raised which was £3,184.54. It was agreed at a meeting this morning (Tuesday) that we will have another Christmas Tree Festival next year, so if you are interested in displaying a tree or being involved some other way, look out for our notices nearer the time.
